MARINE FIGHTER PILOTS - "WAKE ISLAND AVENGERS"
Marine
fighter pilots are specialized pilots, trained in all areas of fighter
combat. Their natural talents as pilots were augmented through
intensive study of navigation as they received special training
to operate large-scale defensive systems such as the starfighter’s
phasers, photon torpedo launchers, and deflector shields.
Aboard the USS Intervision there is also the unique distinction of
being part of a proud lineage dating back to 1937. Marine Fighter
Squadron 211 “Wake Island Avengers,” for over four centuries have set
a standard for service and honor rarely matched since the first day
man took to the sky. |
